BUZZ is filled with magic in every crevice, whether it is a scene that (masterfully) uses magical realism or not. How VILLANUEVA writes about institutional misogyny, ageism, and ecological disaster, and yet keeps a strong undercurrent of softness, heart, and friendship flowing throughout is a true marvel. The characters, the theatricality, the story, the themes - everything comes together to create a truly exciting, tantalizing, and thoughtful show that artists would be lucky to be a part of.

The concept of this play alone is enough to make one laugh out loud, but BRAVERMAN's execution heightens the comedy tenfold. From the smallest details like the "Great Slurpee Flood of Long Ago", to the overarching themes of faith and blind devotion, this play is laugh out loud funny from start to finish. A joy for audiences to watch and for creative teams to realize, you're going to want this play as a part of your next festival.
  • QUICKSAND, a one person play

Wow wow wow, does this monologue punch the modern heart hard. Through beautiful language and a brilliant use of direct address, HEYMAN intimately explores what it is like not only to feel stuck, but to be slowly yet surely sinking down down down. Though the play is full of despair, hope is never lost - an amazing balancing act HEYMAN expertly achieves.

A joy to watch, this play puts the charm in charming - I was delighted from start to finish! Heyman explores polyamory through a deep, honest, and respectful lens; and yet somehow, they find room for comedy and lightness throughout. There is a sweetness interwoven into the fabric of this play that creates a joyous atmosphere for any reader/viewer to be a part of. Not to mention, there's something so refreshing about watching nice people make simple, human mistakes that they work to remedy together with "HONESTY AND COMMUNICATION!" (the true heart of the show).
  • The Bed Trick

THE BED TRICK is one of the most raw and honest plays that I have ever had the pleasure of seeing. The show doesn't preach - rather, it examines and critiques the old bed trick trope through a deeply emotional lens. The characters Blevins has created for us are uncomfortably real, and force us to examine ourselves, our past mistakes, and our relationships to consent, gender roles, and societal expectations. Nothing is black and white, nothing is right or wrong --- everything is simply human.

How DARE Behlke compare the US Constitution to a friendship necklace from Claire's... and how dare she be right in her comparison!! Even though the world is literally ending in this play, she finds a way to truly validate each problem the girls face - whether it be a first period or an environmental disaster! She takes care of her girls, and in doing so, she has created 5 of the most well-rounded adolescent women I've ever seen on stage. Poignant, funny, and absolutely gut-wrenching, "FOUNDERS, KEEPERS" is a play the world needs right now.
  • Simon Says

SIMON SAYS is genuinely one of the most horrifying plays (no, not just short plays... PLAYS) I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. An expert in pacing and suspense, Moughon has created a terrifying modern day fable that examines agency and consent in a deeply impactful, engaging fashion. Never has my whole body been so tense, and never have I enjoyed that feeling so much. This play must be produced - and lucky for you, Moughon has made it easy, with a simple set, three intricate characters, and a story that will send shivers down anyone's spine.
