Human Rights Special Interest Group

Our Mission is to inspire local community efforts to educate, advocate, and implement international human rights policies and goals.
Our Members have been involved with the League of Women Voters at the local, state, and national levels and other organizations. Our Founding Members were delegates of the League of Women Voters of the United States to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York City. Recognizing a common commitment to human-rights education, we came together to form the Human Rights Special Interest Group (HR-SIG) to expand our outreach to local and State Leagues as well as to other civic groups.
