Nichemat Judith saroff (N. J. They/them) Is a Jewish outdoor arts educator working at two retreat centers with Teva known as Isbella freeman and Pearlstone. They teach on climate change, forestry, plant, mushroom, and animal track ID, as well as Jewish farming and nature practices. They use theatre and visual arts mediums as well as nature and upcycle arts to teach as well as make set and props and educational materials.
They are a published poet, and love to share songs poetry, and stories around the fire. They attended AADA as an actor and studied theatre design at CCBC

Most recently they had their play on insomnia performed by Rapid Lemons Variation on Change in 2022, the play was called Daylight Savings.
Their first full length had a zoom reading back in 2020, its available here and deals with mental illness, gender and the concept of oblivion and fading and wanting to exist as a trans person.
NJ is a trans playwright they work to tell stories that are not seen when portraying trans people on stage. They are working on an anthology of short 1 act trans plays ranging from 8-45 minutes. The themes of trans joy, love, anger, heartbreak, political activism, transphobia, queerphobia. They dabble in the genre of realism but mostly enjoy the fantastical absurdist side of theatre.
