Spencer McPhee is a playwright, actor, director and producer originally from the North Shore of Massachusetts and currently based in Brooklyn. He is a recent graduate of Emerson College, where he earned a B.F.A. in Theatre & Performance. At Emerson, he collaborated with Emerson Stage and student production companies on campus to develop his and his colleagues' new works, earning him the 2024 Vivian Schoolman for Artistic Excellence and the 2024 Betsy Carpenter Prize for his play Ice Cream, inspired by his real-life experience working as an ice cream manufacturer in Central Massachusetts.
