Mady Thetard (she/her) is a playwright, poet, and director studying theatre arts at Point Park University. While her interests are as varied as her hometowns, which range from Michigan to Brazil, she focuses on creating new work and finding ways to incorporate multimedia into theatre. Themes she explores often include intergenerational family and girlhood. Some of her favorite work thus far includes Ghost Saloon, a devised and immersive murder mystery set in the Wild, Wild West (co-facilitator and deviser), and Coping With COPA, a one-night only cabaret parodying overdone musical theatre songs and commenting on the college conservatory experience (co-writer, co-director, performer). Her poetry is published in The Midwest Quarterly and The Gulf Tower Forecasts Rain: Pittsburgh Poems.
