  • I Am DELIVERED'T (formerly, A Queer Black Rom-Com For Eastertide)
    25 Jun. 2023
I got to see a reading in NW Arkansas ahead of the play’s premiere and I am so so grateful for an introduction to this playwright and to this play in particular. It’s a funny, and touching intergenerational story of found family created both within the church and just outside in the church parking lot. We have JOKES but we also have such a beautiful portrait of love ♥️ We’re going to see this play produced all over the country (and beyond). I know it. I’m a witch.

OBSESSED with this outstanding piece of documentary theater. Liqing's writing is sharp, FUNNY, and wildly theatrical. PRODUCE THIS PLAY so I can see it, please?!
  • The Jersey Devil Is a Papi Chulo

This is such a funny, daring, and smart play - LOLs from start to finish! I cannot wait to see a production staged someday and I'm so grateful to have found this work while I've been on the hunt for more femme farce writers of color.
  • CJ, A Trilingual Play (An Aspanglish Play)
    1 Oct. 2018
I was lucky enough to see a reading of "CJ" as part of Milagro Theatre's Ingenio Festival in September and highly recommend it for further production/development opportunities. Mercedes expertly navigates between different worlds in a story that incorporates 4 different languages. Her writing is fiercely loving, generous and beautiful.

I am so grateful to Playwrights Foundation/BAPF for an introduction to Dustin's work! This script is super sharp, funny and smart. Your theatre company needs produce it right the heck NOW. Right now.
