The nucleus of this drama is Brownsville, a one-stoplight town just off the Missouri River composed mainly of struggling small business owners, farmers, and—until the recent closure—a coal-fired power plant. When the Chief Technical Officer of a nuclear firm moves to town with a contract to renovate the old coal plant into a novel nuclear facility, it seems the town has found its revitalizing spark. But when word reaches others, unexpected concerns leak into the conversation and the two side begin to organize against each other. As the conflict starts to turn personal, the fallout jeopardizes the town, and bonds between community members new and old are poisoned.
