Seventeen-year-old Arrah Andrews is struggling to come to terms with the recent death of her mother. Hoping for a fresh start, she and her father move into a new house. Arrah finds strength in the presence of the spirit of the diary's author, who aids her in fighting back. The tension culminates in a chilling confrontation in Acadia National Park, where the past and present collide. With the help of Rachel, Arrah unearths the truth and confronts the malevolent force that has haunted her family.
