A father and a daughter on the precipice of a new stage in each of their lives share a common fantasy of an idyllic rural home. The daughter, nearing the end of her twenties, envisions a future exploring nature with her wife and kids, while the father imagines connecting with the land in the ways his body used to allow. Both characters long for their own versions of domestic serenity as they revel in the nostalgia of their shared past.

The audience is welcomed into an underwater pub that caters to the less-wholesome creatures of the deep. As they enjoy the rowdy company of three sea witch sisters, they soon learn of their impending eviction and the lengths they will go to to protect their patch of blue ocean. As the evening progresses, the audience witnesses a drowning, an origin story, a revenge plot and a memory. Combining fantasy camp, poetic storytelling and good old fashioned dark magic, Drowning Daisy invites the audience on an adventure through the depths.

Of Water and Wings is a devised theatre piece that combines original text, movement, and visual imagery to investigate the complex relationship between hope and consumerism. The script/outline chronicles the marketing, implementation, and sprouting of revolutionary new wing capsules guaranteed to assist the consumer in rising to new personal and professional heights.

Linnea and her daughter Heather must navigate a notable shift in their relationship when the progression of Linnea’s Alzheimer’s prompts Heather to take on a more maternal role.

As the granddaughter of a woman who passed away after a long struggle with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, I am interested in the ways in which we can use theatre to craft a genuine portrayal of memory, identity, family and aging. How can we restructure the narrative of geriatric care to include the voices of elderly mothers and those who care for them? Mothering Her Memories is inspired by interviews conducted with geriatric professionals and family members of those living with Alzheimer’s or dementia. Many of the interviewees expressed a similar sentiment, which soon became the spine of the piece. This play investigates the reversal that occurs when a mother begins to regress and her daughter must step in to fill the vacated maternal role.

This outdoor collage of past and present reminds us of the magic of childhood and calls into question if it is possible to take that fantasy with us into adulthood.
