Paisley Kinch

Paisley Kinch (she/her) is a recent graduate of Point Park University where she received her BFA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Playwriting, now currently based in Chicago. She began her foray into theatre when her first play was produced when she was 14 years old, but she maintains it was shallow and full of drivel. Now, she spends her time writing many plays in hopes to find answers to all her questions about the universe.

During her time at Point Park, she’s been able to explore many different aspects of theatre and create and work on a wide variety of projects. She has also served as a dramaturg on Witch with Bridges Theatre Company and Almost Equal To and Arcadia with the Pittsburgh Playhouse. Paisley’s also been active in devised work, creating and starring in productions such as An Evening of Shakespeare and What is Love? with Bridges Theatre Company, as well as When the Campfire Dies with Pinnacle Productions.

Synopsis

In this solo performance piece, a girl named Ophelia will dissect the change women go through from childhood to adolescence. She will examine what it is, how it happened, and why all while exploring how a Shakespearen character could be connected to all of this. In a vulnerable and brutally honest way, she will learn how to use flowers as language, apologize to her younger self, and die.
