I am a graduate of the UCLA Advanced Screenwriting program with an animated Sci-Fi script being produced by BlackOrb Studios. I recently sold my technology company, and I’m living my dream of being a full-time screenwriter, novelist, and playwright.

As a playwright, I have written Colonoscopy - Not a Musical as a public service offering. My other "senior" plays, Killer Casserole (Mystery Theater) and Never Enough Time (comedy) are being submitted to ArtAge - Senior Theatre Resource Center. Fingers crossed! My plays feature few set changes and include performers that can read their lines from a book, iPad, etc.

I write screenplay adaptations for producers with book options. The latest are; Hijacked: The True Story of the Heroes of Flight 705 - being produced by Melissa Shevela of...

I write screenplay adaptations for producers with book options. The latest are; Hijacked: The True Story of the Heroes of Flight 705 - being produced by Melissa Shevela of Helicopter Productions and Jake & Clara by David R. Stokes, the author of Camolot’s Cousin, optioned by Blake Underwood.

I’m a huge soccer fan, and I love all animals. My hobby is writing young adult fiction - creating my own IP along with being a volunteer Wikipedia editor. I live in Florida, which is the poor man’s Hawaii, with no state income tax (I’m a CPA) and have a passion for all things Disney. I’m an annual Disney passholder and spend any spare time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and I wrote a book about Disney’s zoo.

I have lots of spec screenplays and TV pilots; most are female-driven scripts. Of my dozen of projects, many were finalists in Nicholls, Austin Film Festival, Final Draft Big Break, and Page International - putting me on a few Red Lists on Coverfly. My Young Sheldon spec script won 2nd place in the 2024 Scriptapalooza contest. I am a blood and enrolled member of the Cherokee Nation and a winner of the Native American Media Alliance Fellowship - twice! I’m the former Sandy Cook from Escondido, CA.

The play follows Marty, a man who researches scorpion fatalities with the same intensity other people use for TripAdvisor, and his relentlessly positive wife, Adele. Desperate to escape the rainy monotony of Portland, they embark on a disastrous 3,000-mile road trip featuring an uncooperative standard poodle, a vengeful Siamese cat, and a minor case of vehicle registration forgery.

Their destination? A "luxurious, artillery-proof hacienda" promised by Adele’s father, Charlie—a retired Marine Master Gunnery Sergeant who treats life like a classified black-ops mission.

Instead of an idyllic villa, Marty and Adele find themselves in a cave-like adobe house with a single camping lantern, a concrete ditch for a pool, and Isabella, a no-nonsense landlord demanding three months of back rent that Charlie "forgot" to mention. Guided by Selina, a sharp-witted 16-year-old local translator who finds American desperation thoroughly entertaining, Marty and Adele must quickly learn to navigate bad plumbing, rogue arachnids, and the ultimate realization that the language barrier is the least of their worries.

With a running time of about 35 minutes, this charming comedy proves that while you can't always trust a retired Marine's definition of "modern pipes," sometimes a complete lack of preparation is exactly what you need to finally find your bliss.
