Emily Powers is a queer Canadian playwright living in Los Angeles. She has won the Robertson Davies Playwriting Award twice. Her writing has been published with Playwrights Canada Press, Demeter Press, Acta Victoriana, Rinky Dink Press, and The Scissortail Quarterly. Her plays have been produced at Hart House Theater, Cat’s Eye Theater, The Complex Theater, Pink House Productions, Scranton Scratch Night and Playdate Theater. She loves pesto sauce and springtime.

Four years after the death of his sister, Diana, Hyatt finds a collection of video clips she intended to make into a short film, many centering around Kate, her first love. Hyatt gets in contact with Kate and has to come to terms with his sister’s queerness in an act of closure. Lines between the characters get blurry and merge as they learn how to (or forget how to) navigate youth, loss, and memory.
