The Engels are full-time writers whose work has appeared on stage, television, newspapers, magazines and books. They grew up in youth theater, wrote for high school comedy revues, acted in college and have worked for the theater communities in Washington, DC (Helen Hayes Board - Margaret) and Des Moines (Des Moines Playhouse Board - Allison). They are committed to expanding the audience for theaters and often focus on achievements of women and others whose stories are not told with frequency.
