"Throughout the pandemic, playwrights have faced a great deal of isolation, marginalization, and separation. To make matters worse, many of our most prominent development opportunities have started to dry up. In response to those pressures, playwrights all over the country have started coming together to meet and support each other. The Convening was founded out of this impulse to build community.
