Three times a day, every day, a group of young women have the opportunity to die for their country. They are Adolph Hitler's food tasters. And what do girls discuss as they wait to see if they will live through another meal? Like all girls, throughout time, they gossip and dream, they question and dance. They want to love, laugh, and above all, they want to survive.

Biting. Chilling. A dark ride that resonates so much in the moment we're in right now. ”

Wildly funny, kinetic, and absolutely harrowing, Hitler's Tasters is a sharp shock of a play that will stick with you. I saw it last year Off-Broadway and it has certainly stuck with me: it continues to resonate with its themes about complicity, complacency, passionate devotion that curdles into something else, and society's treatment - then and now - of young women as disposable. On top of all that, it's also an astoundingly good showcase for young actresses. Colleges, and even high schools -- get on this. Entertaining and powerful stuff. ”

The mixture of the mundane and personal and the horrifying and world-changing is what makes this script so effectively chilling and funny at the same time. As we get wrapped up in the selfies and interpersonal drama between the characters, we can never forget the atrocities happening just offstage. I’m sure this would make for a tense and thought-provoking evening of theatre! ”
An actor shows up at the very end of this play that has not been seen previously. She could be played by an understudy or by one of the girl who has disappeared, as long as she looks radically different.
