While waiting to enter the hot new dinosaur exhibit, a visitor to the Museum of Natural History stumbles upon the “Hall of Endangered Species.” At the push of a button, they're swept into the colorful personal lives of endangered animals who are doing anything and everything to stay alive and stay relevant: Manny the manatee is creating a new public relations campaign, Pole the polar bear is panhandling to tourists, Stack the Panamanian Golden frog is pleading asylum, and Blobby the blobfish is, well, dead...but loving it! With all their ingenuity and spunk, will these animals manage to survive?

The community of national & local readers for the Bay Area Playwrights Festival in 2021 enthusiastically recommends EN-DANGER!-ED as a Semi-Finalist at Playwrights Foundation out of 755 plays. We were deeply moved by the theatricality and imagination behind this story, as the writer uses the unique setting to draw parallels between human and animal plights. We're compelled by the play's promise, as it explores the disastrous effects of climate change with both comedy and heart. We hope this play is widely read, finds dedicated collaborators, and moves swiftly towards production. #BAPF2021

The rare play that works as both an educational tool and a very funny satire of the conflict between conservation and Capitalism, en-DANGER!-ed is a delightful play that just might move you into action - if only to avoid becoming one of the endangered animals on display.

A comedic and sharply satirical ensemble piece that would be a treat for a creative production team to work on. There's much here to work with in terms of design and movement, and the heightened theatrical world Corwin creates has this super saturated, bombastic, original, collage-like feel. She explores so much: the intersection of environmentalism and media/social media/youth culture, "environmentalism" supported by the very corporations implicated, the role of apathy and self-interest in climate change protest movements, and more. A couple of potent, poignant moments tie the play together...
