Tucumcari Tonite!

This is what can happen when two conflicting strangers spend forced time with each other, and the result is a fine, slick play by Philip. Once again the playwright gifts us with so much back story that you buy into both characters and wish a much brighter future for them. And we can all relate to the dream of a motel room after several nights under the stars.
    Great work!

Having just driven through Tucumcari, I was delighted to come across this play. The desert is a dangerous place. And so Williams's tight, fast moving one act begins. Super atmosphere, exposition and, as always with Philip Middleton Williams, crystal clear characterization. Bravo.

This is a well-constructed buddy comedy with real heart. Stuck in the desert, they share their histories and surprising points of connection arise. Both will leave this moment better able to cope with the curve balls life has recently thrown them. These are two clearly drawn and engaging characters and it is a real pleasure to share this time with them.
