I love stories where one, seemingly small, but still morally incorrect action festers and festers until it metastasizes into an inescapable reality for the character. Dellagiarino Feriend does a great job of using the heightened premise (winning a moon-trip from the back of cereal box - c'mon, so fun) to externalize how you can’t resolve a lie by continuing it.

This is my first encounter with a play by Lisa Dellegiarino Feriend. Having written a few sci-fi type plays myself, the title caught my attention. What harm is there in telling a little white lie on the first date? Don't we all do it? Unfortunately, a little white lie backfires spectacularly on poor Joe. A quick, fun little piece that would work well in any 10-minute festival.

An entertaining look at how much a little white lie can backfire. "To the Moon!" takes the audience along for a ridiculous ride. Feriend mixes in just enough believability to sell the absurd premise, and does an excellent job bouncing the characters of the rocksteady astronauts with that of her spectacularly nervy hero. Good fun.
