I was immediately drawn into Eden 2 by its clever blend of science fiction, humor, and theological reflection. The play takes the familiar Adam and Eve story and reboots it on Mars with a fresh, witty, and unexpectedly poignant voice. The banter between the characters is sharp and charming, and the divine interruption is both funny and thought-provoking. It’s a tight, smart ten-minute piece that leaves you laughing—and thinking.

What if we got to start over? This playful Mars-set comedy gives humanity another shot. The concept invites big questions—can we evolve, or are we bound to repeat ourselves? With a clear structure and flexible staging potential, it’s a fun piece that offers both levity and a call to deeper reflection.

Eden 2 is a play that considers how fragile some things that feel indelible really are-- faith and even life itself-- while also maintaining a good deal of humor and charm. The quiet way the characters deal with the end of the world makes the play all the more interesting. I listened to both BAE's and Theatrical Shenanigan's audio versions of it this past week, and they were both able to find a lot of fun layers to play with in production.
