I love a rom-com with a good twist, and this tightly constructed, clever piece has more than one! The characters are a delight, and the cliched personal ads are hilariously fun. I was fortunate enough to see a production of this piece performed by actors who had an expert feel for the witty, breezy dialogue.

This meet-cute does not go as an audience expects, and I love it. Siskind has written something awkward, cringey, but ultimately sweet for the digital age. There's also honest moments about the difficulty in connecting with others. I'm glad "Missed Disconnections" has such a strong production history, one that I hope will grow.

MISSED DISCONNECTIONS is a super funny play about a meet-cute (or should I say meet-cutes?) gone horribly and hilariously awry. Samara Siskind gloriously utilizes the underutilized online forum known as "Missed Connections". I was lucky to see this one live with the Ludington Area Center for the Arts.
