Will they come up with a humane solution?
Furthermore, is there something much darker looming on the horizon?

    As if Venice doesn’t have enough challenges! Plumridge has dreamed up a wacky situation for our doges to contend with, if they could only get out of each other’s way. I’m a sucker for the absurd, and Plumridge delivers with a big helping of silly and improbable anachronisms. A really fun, short play that makes me want to romp around a bit more in the playwright’s mind. Loved it!

    "The Wallabies of Venice" would be a delight for actors, filled with a variety of colorful, foolish characters from a sweet but distracted old man to pompous artiste to a overindulgent historic lover and more.

    The banter is silly, the problem is ridiculous, and the climax is beautifully played out after the seed is innocuously planted among the first lines of dialogue. A lot of fun in a few short moments.
