"The Melatonin Miners" is a whimsical, thought-provoking play, Steve's ordinary bedroom becomes a portal to the past. As he drifts into melatonin-induced dreams, he encounters historical luminaries. Their witty exchanges blend humor with poignant reflections on time, identity, and the human condition. The play's clever premise and well-crafted dialogue make it a delightful exploration of reality, fantasy, and the enduring impact of history. A unique blend of comic timing and introspection.

In life, Beethoven, Carl Reiner and W.C. Fields gave the world so much joy. In death — or at least in Philip Middleton Williams' hilarious short play — they continue to do so. I loved his take on "A Christmas Carol," though the three spirits aren't there to teach Steve morality; they're just visiting to have a good time.
It may not work for Steve, but it works for us, the audience.
I would love to see this in a night of holiday shorts. Bravo!

Ludwig Van Beethoven, Carl Reiner and W.C. Fields walk into a bar ... well actually they materialize in a bedroom and the hilarity level exceeds anything that popular set up might suggest. This is an original and laugh-out-loud funny reflection on creativity and humor and the price of taking the wrong little pill.
