Happy Days Are Here (Again)
by Omer Abbas Salem
This play covers the lives of seven students at St. Boniface High School, in 1979 Chicago. It delves into how systems of support can be manipulated to abuse the less powerful. As the students try and find ways to help each other and themselves, we see how those in power have tactics and playbooks prepared to maintain dominance. This is a play about how permanently abuse can damage and how hard it can be to see.
