Jewish Plays Projects congratulates ANNE FRANK IN MT VERNON, OHIO as a Semi-Finalist for the 15th National Jewish Playwriting Contest out of 315 submitted plays in 2025. We were compelled by use of satire to tackle contemporary questions of how specifically Anne Frank's story is used by the well-intentioned. We were engaged by the play's questions of what constitutes Jewish representation. We hope this play is considered & finds dedicated collaborators in this play’s journey towards production.

Commended plays received strong advocacy for consideration through our signature Jewish Artistic Democracy community reading process out of the 315+ plays we received.
