Darren-prone to fantasy. 18 year old young man. Any race.
Sammy-prone to over-thinking. 18 year old young man. Any race.
Cliff-prone to pretension. 18 year old young woman. Any race.
Wendy-prone to concern. Darren’s mother. At least 38 years old. Any race.
Ms. Weeb-prone to pomp. A teacher. At least 56 years old. Any race.
Spinners-prone to myopia.

Ms. Weeb could be played by the same actress as Wendy if necessary. If this is the case, she should have a wig or some sort of trait or bauble to distinguish the two women. There is also a woman who resembles Ms. Weeb in Act II, Scene 1. She should be played by Ms. Weeb, but she is not Ms. Weeb. Another bauble would be ideal.
Characters called “Spinners” can be played by any of the above-listed characters as long as their faces are not visible underneath their helmets so the audience does not know the actors are doubling to play those roles. However, a director may also choose to cast them as separate individuals if he or she desires.
Ideally, actors and artists of color will be given roles.
