While casually scouting options for our fall play at the high school where I teach, I ended up reading The Inseparables in one sitting. I truly enjoyed the witty dialogue, and I found myself constantly transported to countless bumpy rehearsals with MIA cast members, makeshift sound cues, and distracted actors phoning it in... but also, ultimately, the transcendent joy of an ensemble finally getting their act together. Thank you for a great read! And it's on my short list for this fall!

In a post-pandemic world (where we realize sometimes the show won’t actually go on), Young gives us relatable characters who go through all the highs and lows that make theatre truly magical. A true gut-punch of a love-letter to our art form that left me with “all the feels” and tears in my eyes. It also happens to be exceedingly producible!

What an absolute joy of a play! A metatheatrical love letter to the challenges of theatre and the people who rise to meet them. I couldn't stop picturing the play as I read it, and I couldn't stop laughing.
