L’appel du Vide takes a darkly comedic look at the relationship between two randomly assigned college roommates at the start of their freshman year. Quentin, a devotee of Nietzsche with no social skills, works around the clock as an app developer and hopes to find the secret to eternal life. Simon, a debate team nerd who was raised by his grandparents, is forced to choose between sticking it out with Quentin and moving in with a new roommate.
