I saw the Nu Sass production of this play in DC, which was phenomenal! The story was expertly told, with subtle hints and foreshadowing without giving it away. The dialogue felt authentic. I can't wait to see who does this next and what they do with it!

This play is deeply unsettling from the very first page and doesn’t let up until the fiery, harrowing ending. I could feel the claustrophobia and darkness just leeching through the page as I read. Underneath the disturbing atmosphere, this play is a brutally honest examination of grief, parenthood, and family. This script is such a gift to actors, directors, and designers and will linger with me for a long time. Highly recommended!

I've had the honor to be the first producer of this astounding play. Tiffany has written a show the captivates the audience and delights the actor. A comedy that chills the spine, or a gothic horror that makes you cry. The complexities of this play are its strength, and the possibilities for its staging and execution limitless. If we can do it with 4 actors in a 15'x15' space, it can be done anywhere!

Tiffany Antone's "Twigs and Bone" is a vividly crafted naturalistic horror story, as Moira, the protagonist returns home to a mother and father, both pathological hoarders, both repeating an endless cycle of tormenting one another over the trauma of the child they lost decades prior. Were they always like this? Antone evokes fairytales and folklore, but grounds the story in the visceral world of life, death, bodily functions, decay, and psychopathology. I reviewed the 2022 NuSass production: https://washingtoncitypaper.com/article/556169/twigs-bone-brings-the-supernatural-to-the-stage/

Can't remember the last time I read a play that got under my skin and stayed there. This play was recommended to me by a friend of mine, and I was hooked by his review. Dark as night, with shades of Sam Shepard, with liberal sprinkling of folklore, this play pulls at the threads of family, and what a person will do to find the answer. You'll feel trapped as much as the characters, making this one of the most effective horror pieces I've ever encountered.

Things back home are definitely not as Moira expected them to be. Chilling, captivating and well done!

Deeply chilling, beautiful, and unnerving. I had shivers upon shivers reading it; it would be a blast to see this piece in production.

We had the pleasure of mounting a developmental production of TWIGS AND BONE in the fall of 2015. Haunting, mysterious, at times comical, TWIGS became an instant favorite of our audiences. Weaving a story with many twists and turns and a conclusion that will leave you discussing this show for weeks, TWIGS AND BONE is a tour de force that will leave you wanting more from Ms. Antone.

Twigs and Bone is simultaneously ferocious and hilarious. Tiffany Antone is a brilliant writer.
