"We always think we have more time. Until we don’t."

I kept going back to this wee line in John's great observational piece about loss, grieving, and the lack of a blueprint for dealing with the death of a loved one.
Swinging from anger at some jotted notes from her estranged younger sibling, to guilt at not reaching out to her during a suggested troubled life.
A great dramatic piece for stage, and I particularly like the idea John has of time flashing by...A metaphor for lost chances perhaps?

This play takes us on the voyage with a bereaved sister as suddenly time has run out and a sibling is gone for ever. But not a package she has left behind. Clever and endearing, this carefully paced duologue on bereavement, secrets and discovery has humour and poignancy as Erin discovers the sister she thought she knew.

There is no right or wrong way to grieve, only a lot of mixed feelings, particularly when a relationship was a troubled one. This well-crafted short play takes us on a rocky ride as we witness a roller coaster of fierce emotions ranging from anger to regret and remorse, and ultimately to deep levels of sorrow. Bravo!

A fantastic piece about friendship during the most unimaginable loss of the sister we didn't get a chance to know fully while living and the grief that comes with that. Well done.

John does a great job of creating suspense about the contents of a bag of documents she has inherited from her older sister who has died. Good play on words about the misuse of "losing" someone: "She didn't wander off in the grocery store or slip between the couch cushions." He raises the question of how well we do or don't know a sibling -- to our regret.

Bavoso packs a range of emotions into 10 minutes. While the play centers on a woman grappling with the death of her sister, there are some many nuances and details that bring these characters to life. Check out this play!

This concisely captures that moment after the death of someone we love. A lot of "ifs" and new discoveries. Despite the play being about grief, it is actually quite funny. Bravo!
