A hilarious comedy about meeting cute and all the mechanics around it for that optimal occurrence. A perfect comedy on friendship and getting real so now perhaps love can come Teryn's way. Fantastic!

I remember watching this in Dallas and rereading the play brought back the same laughs and the same smiles. Haley Nelson encapsulates the fears many of us have of being alone forever and the wild, unrealistic--though hilarious when you play it out live--and dramatic romantic scenarios we imagine for ourselves in that "Love at First Sight" moment. But in Meet Cute, there's more than just the hilarious romantic scenarios we invent for ourselves, there's the less than ideal reality of how couples come together. There's a lot of hope and reality among the fantasies. Plus, that ending is freaking HILARIOUS.

Such a delightful ten minute play that is genuinely. Filled with clever dialogue and touching moments. The ending is equal parts adorable and horrifying as the meeting between our two friends concludes with the ultimate “meet cute.”

Self-aware meta version of the "meet cute" trope. Genial and pretty funny. Full of great dialogue. Teryn laments her bad luck and lack of a French bookstore romance: "And I’m never gonna have that! I’m never gonna be lucky enough to win tickets on the radio or get lost in France and find a bookstore. If I get lost in France I’m gonna get kidnapped." This play will kidnap and entertain you.
