Very very moving! I was surprised that Jeen’s inability to find words, her aphasia, is such a strength in the script. The tension between Jeen and Zannie (great names) is drawn out with such empathy that I felt knocked back with the power of it. Not taking sides, just feeling their predicament. I would love to see a performance of GOING HOME by Arianna Rose

Going home takes on a shattering double meaning in this moving exploration of the balance between holding on and letting go. Jeen's pain and frustration and Zannie's struggle to cope are detailed with honesty and poignance. There is a powerful mix of love and melancholy and hope and despair and loss and remembrance at work here.

There are always those moments we think back on and are pained at what we said or didn't say and Going Home brings this into focus as a couple deal with the death of another and all of that pain that comes from that. This play is as perfect as a piece of poetry and will leave everyone who reads it or sees in tears that are from both the heart and soul.

This is a poignant play about a married couple, Jeen and Zannie, navigating the challenges of illness and caregiving. The hospital room setting is a backdrop to the raw and tender moments the characters share. The play explores themes of dependence, communication, and the impact of illness on a relationship. The emotional depth of the space is palpable, making it a powerful and thought-provoking experience for the audience. Ultimately, "Going Home" by Arianne Rose conveys a message of love and resilience amidst loss. Very Touching!

A tearjerker on two levels: the knowing, serious drama of conflict and guilt and shame in the first part of this short play followed gently by the direct address of remorse and grief. Audiences will openly sob.

This moving play of a couple’s final day together is real, raw, and emotional in the best way possible. It brought me to tears. An actor’s delight and your audience will relate on a personal level.

GOING HOME is an at-once tender and fierce short two-hander. As a married couple faces a debilitating stroke and the life changes it promises to bring to their loving relationship, they bravely venture beyond sentimentality to a place of honesty about expectations, anger, and loss. Arianna Rose crafts a beautiful story that is both particular and universal, transcending clichés. Audiences will both laugh and choke up, and actors will love investing their souls into this nuanced, heartrending script.

A lovely play, written from the heart. Clever in that it works with any combination of actors. Read it and produce it!
