This delightful play is highly theatrical and would be a playground for directors and designers. The dialogue is smart and sharp and kept me laughing throughout. So fun - would love to see it produced.

I got to see a reading of this at the 2019 Midwest Dramatists Conference and was enthralled by the original premise and delighted by the wittiness of the writing. Dickens uses theatricality to shine a light on the kind of calculus many of us over-thinkers engage in before taking even the most mundane action. Highly recommended!

A visual and verbal treat! This play demonstrates Dickens's sharp wit, comedic timing, and inventive imagination. Great fun!

We all know what happens with the best-laid plans, don't we? "Inevitable" shows what happens when logic and certainty are applied to matters of the heart, and the outcome is anything but predictable. What a great piece for exploring the one element that makes us human.

Choices: those made, and those we face, are what drama is all about. But what happens when you think you can determine which choice is “correct”? Dickens’ play is an entertaining look at life’s “non-inevitability” when it comes to relationships. Entertaining and thought-provoking, the protagonist attempts a meta-analysis of his future life —- combining dating and data — to produce hilarious and, not surprisingly, unexpected, results.

A truly entertaining trip that is sure to connect with over-thinkers everywhere. It's Analysis Paralysis with humor and heart. Plus, there's a lot of fun creative pieces for directors, designers, and actors involved. I saw a reading at the 2019 Midwest Dramatists Conference, and I would love to see it fully staged!
