This play is pure good sci-fi. A large and detailed setting, held together by complex and understandable characters, in a story that's strong emotionally and carries with it a painful warning towards our future. Melds the deep challenge of lightspeed travel into a narrative that weaves it with math, mental health, addiction, politics, identity, and inevitability.

Holy WOW, what an awesome script. So imaginative and powerful - transports us to a different and multi-dimensional world, but (as with all great sci-fi) the characters and challenges in this world are wildly relatable to our own. Would love to see this done!

We had the great pleasure of producing Speed of Light as part of our first season, and a science-fiction theatre company really couldn't ask for something more perfect: an intellectually stimulating, emotionally haunting play with apocalyptic themes that feel increasingly relevant every day. Great characters that actors loved sinking their teeth into, and a deep, fascinating setting. If you want to prove that science fiction is about more than just laserguns and explosives (and if you want an audience that sits back in their seats, stunned by the final moment), this is your play.
