Every character from top to bottom feels real and lived in, to the point where it's almost painful to read so many open wounds on the page, just trying to just be alive amidst tragedy. And yet theirs also moments of compassion, camaraderie and genuine laughs amongst the sprawling Americana Gatton illustrates so well for the reader. This play definitely earns its bonus stars.
