This play is beautiful and engaging from beginning to end. The characters' backgrounds are rich and deep, and Femia reveals their stories in little slices that leave the reader hungry for more. The characters are engaging, the questions are big, and the play in general is going to haunt me for a while. Someone get this script a production, STAT!

This play is just gorgeous. Wow. Love how Femia defines and builds these characters with nuance and flaws and lets them stumble and shine. Love how we move in and out of a colorful comic book language and into something that feels hyper realistic, a reminder that we’re all leaping tall buildings in a single bound... just to get through life. This play would be a delight to see staged, with wonderful opportunities for actors and designers alike.

An emotional journey about the power the imagination has to help us cope with our lives. I especially love how this play doesn't spoon feed details to their audience but just asks them to sit with this family for a brief time and wrestle with the choices they make. In this play, no one is 100% a hero or 100% a villain. Just like how life works.

What a wonderful play! SUPER, OR HOW CLARK GRAVES LEARNED TO FLY is a very sweet and heartfelt story which captures the magic of a young person's imagination, exploring the many hardships of being young, confused, and helpless. Not only do we see Clark's perspective on love, sacrifice, violence, loneliness, and happiness, we also get a window into his family's personal experience with being part of the poor and hungry working class. I highly recommend reading it!
