This is a list of things Christian believes in: logic, banana Laffy Taffy, video games, and Daniel. This is a list of things Christian doesn't believe in: caffeine, alcohol, monogamy, and God. Daniel, a Mario Kart wizard and aspiring Lutheran pastor, is falling for Christian. But as these men explore the potential of their new relationship, voices from Christian's past threaten to overpower the connection they share -- with one another, and something bigger than themselves. A devastatingly beautiful play that journeys through lost faith — dryness, suffering, and rebirth. We care for these characters and hold them tightly and, no matter what our personal beliefs, rejoice in what they find.

I just saw the premier of this piece at Mosaic Theatre, and all I can say is, too bad for folks who missed it. It was a beautiful, lyrical, thought-provoking production of a beautiful, lyrical, thought-provoking script. This will stay with me for a long time and I look forward to seeing it many more times, so let's get out there and produce it again, folks!

I read this play four months ago and meant to write a recommendation at the time, but... life. The story is still there in my mind, though. The dreamy quality of the scenes makes an impact. Like a vivid dream, it's a deeply felt and remembered story with soft edges and important lessons. I'd love to see it performed live someday.
