Saw a production of this play at Mixed Blood Theatre and was completely captivated the whole time. The pace, rhythm, dialogue and characters all synchronized into a wonderful concoction of drama. One of the best shows I've seen!

The oven is on and this crew may clash over cultural differences and power stations, but somehow through it all there's a love that endures under fire. Fantastic!

I saw this play performed at Horizon Theatre in Atlanta, GA. It was stunning! There is something both inherently political and deeply emotional about food, and even more so food service. Snider does a great job of taking power dynamics that are much bigger than the kitchen and making them fit in that cramped, hot space.

I've been hearing great things about this play and recently got my hands on it to read for a local theater. Wow! Crackling dialogue flashes with white heat in every single scene. You can almost smell the steamy kitchen, hear the sizzle and see the global connections and ramifications materialize as this rich play unfolds. Snider's enviable mastery of humor is matched with his fearless thematic development. I would love, love, LOVE to see this in production. And I'm going to tell the local producers just that. :)

Practically exploding with energy and excitement, HOW TO USE A KNIFE is a play about a clash of cultures, ideologies, and how a man is defined by the tragedies and longings of his past. One of the most wonderful plays I've ever had the pleasure of working on.

HOW TO USE A KNIFE brings global politics into the less-than-sparkling kitchen of a Midtown Manhatten restaurant. And that feels surprisingly perfect. Snider knows a thing or two about fast-paced kitchen culture, and it shows. The play runs at breakneck speed, like a New York kitchen at lunchtime.

Saw "How to Use a Knife" as part of the NNPN Showcase. Such a muscular, sharp and visceral play. Full of humor and pain. Enjoyed the hell out of it!

I've seen a reading of this play twice through NNPN. Both times, it was moving, hysterical, and thoughtful. Go Will!
