A Note on the Carolers: All performers are carolers, except Dolores. They are a mythic chorus guiding the audience as storytellers and scene molders; at times they are characters in the tale. When they transform the space they change into their characters onstage, occasionally helping each other by tossing costume items during the choreography, etc. They are hip and modern, embracing bright and bold patterns, ugly-Christmas sweaters, hip-hop and sparkles. They are like the Muses from Hercules meets the classic Willy Wonka Oompa Loompa’s
** This play can be produced with up to 12 carolers.
