Sublime. Simply sublime. I am a fan of all things paranormal and this dynamic play delivers with such heart and humor. These characters deserve their time on stage and Jennifer O'Grady deserves praise for bringing them to life. And by life, I mean full, well-rounded characters that exude life. I enjoyed this read immensely and could easily see it onstage in my mind's eye. If it finds its way to the stage soon, I will do my best to find my way to a seat in the audience.

I found this romantic comedy to be a wonderful mix of wistful and charming. This exploration of grief and death and moving on is nuanced and subtle. O'Grady utilizes paranormal reality and ghosts as a lovely way to explore what is left behind when our life partners die (or move on in other ways), what we take from them, and how we rearrange and recalibrate our realities in their wake.

Love never dies, it just becomes...otherworldly. In this play, we see a ghost help his friends find love, but also help his former lover move on to new love. As David eloquently tells his new bride "there will always be a place for him inside my mind, but it’s a safe place, with a door on it. Sometimes I might open the door and look at a nice memory, but I’ll always close it again. Do you know why? Because you’re here." A beautiful tale of love and loss.

Our past relationships often come back to haunt us, and this very funny, moving, full-length dramedy , complete with three over-the-top ghosts, proves this point. Fully-developed characters, with a riveting plot, and witty dialogue, “Paranormal Love,” is modern theater at its best! Brava, Jennifer O’Grady!

Mix a dash of Harry Met Sally with a smidgen of Truly Madly Deeply and you get a touching story of love and loss before and after death... "He doesn’t talk to you, darling. He talks to his memory of you".

First, great characters, each one distinctive and fully realized, many of them particularly hilarious. The use of ghosts functions as an elegant metaphor of the human need to hold onto the past and the people that represent it. At its heart it’s a sweet love story about two people having difficulty finding their places in the world. The occasional monologues are used strategically to illuminate characters and sparkle with lovely imagery. A fine piece overall.

I was hooked with the synopsis and "Paranormal Love" did not disappoint when read. I always feel that if I learned as much about the craft of writing as I did enjoying a good play and story, then it was time well spent. O'Grady brings together this group of people, both alive and dead, and my heart was pulled into a thousand bits of emotion right up into the very end. Like Joe's beautiful speech about photography, this play is one that the rest of the world would benefit from seeing just how special it is. Encore!
