Impeccable storytelling from beginning to end. I'll always be a sucker for plays with three dimensioned characters that pull us through the journey of a play. My only regret is not seeing an actual performance of this work! Darkness, violence and wit! Quite a package!

Hurt people hurt people hurt people hurt people...That Long Damn Dark explores the ugliest place we have deep down inside ourselves. Spooky and thrilling. "Do you want to be stuck in this godforsaken box for the rest of your life?" I won't soon forget this play.

Great characters - both living and dead - all with big stakes - populate this really exciting play that asks a lot of great and timely questions, like can we be safe in this world? And what does it mean to be a man in an unsafe world? And a designer's dream - what a production it could be!

The living and the dead grapple with how to carry on in this dark and thrilling play by a writer who can weave a dramatic mystery unlike anybody else. "That Long Damn Dark" is deeply engaging as is all of Ashley's plays.

Gripping, gritty, and always, always ghostly—that's an Ashley Rose Wellman play in a nutshell. With every play, Ashley Rose manages to reanimate the dead and your love of live theatre. Produce this now and get butts in seats.
