I read this play years ago and I still think about it all the time. It has such a mix of truly heartbreaking scenes combined with witty stand-up material. Each character (even minor ones) are given a true arch, which is hard for any writer to accomplish Highly recommend!

A wonderful combination of comedy, existential dread, and romance. Ghost Walks Into a Bar is a meditation on what it means to be present. Unafraid to go dark, this play exposes, grapples with, and finds comedy and even peace in the unknown of death (and life). A great opportunity for an ensemble!

When you think of a comedy about ghosts, you don't imagine you'll end up saddened and emotionally attached to the ghosts, but thanks to Mora V. Harris' witty banter and deep exploration of life, love and death, you do. And then you realize that this is not a play about ghosts, but an often funny, sometimes sad look at how we relate to each other, to the world, and to ourselves.

Ghost Walks into a Bar is a thoughtful, hilarious examination of when, and how, we figure out our lives, and our loves. Full of great wordplay and jokes, and strong ensemble writing, this piece is a great large-cast comedy. Harris creates characters we really feel for, which makes knowing most of them are dead, and their lives lived, all the more bittersweet.
