Burlesque and The Food Network deliciously collide in this smart and sensual monologue by Rachel Bykowski. Lizzie proclaims her agency as she (nearly) reveals the secret to her grandmother’s culinary masterpiece. She recognizes the power she now wields, and won’t surrender it easily. A bold and satisfying piece of writing!

I love the double entendres and that we have a woman OWNING her sexuality on stage the way her grandmother taught her to. I also love that her grandmother handed down a ton of wisdom that we don't typically expect from an older generation. This monologue is fun, sexy, feminist, and still somehow able to leave us wanting pie. Looking forward to reading more of Bykowski's work!

I love both blueberry pie and the short monologue BLUEBERRY PIE by Rachel Bykowski. Both are sweet but what makes them great is their complexity, the bits of lemon and tartness that add depth. I was especially knocked out by these lines: "As you get older, you’re going give away a lot of yourself. And that’s okay, cause you’re a woman."

Really well written and now I have quite the hankering for pie...

Sweet-- and just a little tart. A deliciously fun and erotic monologue for women.

An erotic monologue, a little tart like a blueberry pie. Cooking with striptease. An unusual monologue on one's woman history with food and her continuing her grandmother's secret to pleasuring a man. Check it out, take a bite.

This is a delightful monologue! It was written for the "Casual Sex" Madness I produced and its coy, really moving and heart warming(lol warm pie). I think its hurting to be an audition monologue.
