You always know you're onto a winner when the character list makes you smile. From there you are catapulted into a brilliantly funny (laugh out loud funny) play with wonderfully witty back and forth dialogue ("Ah, yes. Noël Coward and the lesser Fleming. This cannot be good." - Fabulous!) This play is one that carries its audience through a fabulously funny story constructed of unique characters and great dialouge. Its that perfect mixture that makes a reader wants to see it live!

To bring such varied historical characters together like this is truly inspired! Triplett brings us such a strong, believable character analysis of Noel Coward, and I couldn't help but smile as I saw the story of Blythe Spirit unfold. Indeed this whole play had me smiling throughout, I would love to see this staged, it would be hilarious! There's even one section where the characters find the whole story so unbelievable that they assume they might be in a play themselves! BRILLIANT!

Smart, sharp and impossible to step away from, "True Will" is masterfully woven and hilarious in an intelligent way. In a script that could easily have lost its way, Triplett has enviable control and produced a great show that audiences and actors will love.

I read a lot of plays that make my laugh, quietly to myself, as I'm usually alone when I read them. However, I couldn't stop myself from laughing out loud repeatedly at the wonderful wit displayed in Triplett's work. I would've never thought of putting these specific historical characters together, but it's a brilliant conceit. Triplett knows his original material well, but he rounds these characters out and pits them against each other in ways that are unique and startling. I love that the presence of a Nazi defector appears to be the least of anyone's problems. Marvelous stuff!

Terrific. Whip smart satire, deliciously funny, and the dialogue snaps, crackles, and pops with wit of the highest order. Bravo, Mr. Triplett. Bravo!

True Will is a wickedly funny and smart historical satire. William Triplett weaves the mysterious Rudolf Hess affair with the creation of Blythe Spirit and the exotic mystic Crowley in a hilarious invention. It is a multi-layered comedy filled with meaty roles for its actors. A perfect pairing with Blythe Spirit or any play set early in the Second World War. Expect laughter.

True Will was one of 5 winning plays in our Panndora's Box new works festival 2016. It is a wonderfully complex interesting play with truly unique comic moments. Our audience loved it, the cast of the reading loved it, and we loved it. A real audience pleaser. What's not to like in a play that creates a scenario for the writing of Blythe Spirit and intertwines Noel Coward with Ian Fleming, Bond, Moneypenny and Alistair Crowley. Yummy stuff! Plus Bill Triplett is a delight to work with as playwright.
