A ten minute play had never built up enough power to actually bring me to tears, then I read FLY, BABY.

An ultimately uplifting play about self-acceptance, love, friendship, and a world weary Santa who manages to pull out one more miracle on a rooftop in Brooklyn -- instead of 34th street.

A stunning short play, bright and nuanced, Femia's work here sings with a delightful rhythm and musicality. I'm so drawn to the rich character development and the author's humor and humanity. A wonderful play addition for any festival, offering a goldmine for a creative team.

A delightful short play that is holiday friendly and makes you wanna get some hot chocolate and a love interest and watch in. Gina’s naturalistic and easy dialogue rolls off the page.

Absolutely completely and totally captivating and beautiful. I am so moved by this gorgeous short. If Gina Femia isn't the next big thing, I will eat my socks. The emotion that she is able to pull so effortlessly, but with such precision and care, is nothing short of genius. Get acquainted with her work now before she goes big.

This play made me smile. Smile like not many pieces of entertainment does. Smiles like when I was a kid and it was Christmas day. I'm not kidding! i could say more, or put more eloquent words together, but I think you should you just experience it without much knowledge of it. It's pure joy!

Beautiful like a prayer. It's a play I want to see staged -- and I think you'll agree after reading this. We live in dangerous times, so much cruelty and injustice to make us lonely, depressed and frightened. This play offers hope, reminds us to make a connection, to open up -- that will make us fly from our misery and pain. Check it out.

Wow. Gina Femia has written an absolutely beautiful ten-minute play. I've read "Fly, Baby" several times and each time it tugs at my heart in a different way. Femia has created four real and genuine characters struggling and searching for hope. This play is incredibly relevant and necessary. Read it. Produce it. We need it.

This play begins with the hope and fear of a new year, to love lost and found, to the myth of Christmas and the belief in it. It's a play with many levels, and a wonderful example of a short that theatrically explores and fills every moment of ten minutes. It's tiny and epic; the story-telling is intimate and profound, with language that is street poetry. The playwright also creates four characters trying hard to connect, who make us care about their heartfelt efforts to succeed. It
