This apocalyptic office comedy says so much about us right now during pandemic and, probably, beyond it. Speaks to our preservation in the face of tragedy (noble or absurd), the struggle for normalcy in hard times through routines and rituals and wellness-tips. Also, it must not go unnoticed that all the characters are women - so what is the play saying about women? A play with a lot of laughs and a lot in it for conversation after the show.

A bright, feminine, hilarious play for the moment. Lia's satire of #wellness #media culture and our societies endless pressure on women to seem happy, hot and well adjusted at all times shines and this play is both funny AF yet also thought provoking.

A hysterical play about the absurdity of trying to pretend everything is normal in the face impending doom. A fresh take on a post-apocalypse play.

Timely and witty commentary on the endless and absurd drive towards productivity and positivity in the face of disaster.

Lia sent this to City Theatre as one of her first efforts to write for Zoom. We were in the early stages of pivoting from stage to screen. It was a perfect match and we had a lot of fun. We actually did this play twice with different actors for different zoom audiences. If you're a theatre still doing digital, or planning to do digital anyway, or hybrid, LIFESTYLE CONTENT is a blast.

As someone who lives with a person that works in this industry I can't tell you how hysterical this piece is. True to life but with just enough absurdity injected into the fabric to really bring out the dystopian connotations of content creation for the calamity age. From the article titles to the interplay between the co-workers Romeo has truly crafted a wonderful short.

A great premise about what is important after a catastrophe, and not everyone will agree on what that will be. The play straddles the line between those attempting to hang on to normalcy and those who know that the world has forever changed. Funny and poignant.

A hilarious piece about what quarantine has come to, DIY has turned into what we can do with rats. Well done!

So funny. So dark. The exact release you need when life is bafflingly unpredictable and yet. . . totally predictable. What Romeo does here is simultaneously challenge our status quo while leaning into it and somehow brings both those spheres to a new, elevated plane. Fantastic work as always.
