GLASSHEART is mesmerizing! From the very first moments, I was drawn into this world and laughing out loud at these characters! Reina Hardy creates a lovely modern twist on the "Beauty and the Beast" fairy tale. It is imaginative, charming, and very tender. This play is full of great parts for actors, great opportunities to create for designers, and so many moments of theatre magic at it's finest!

The development of Only is particularly fascinating in this piece--Hardy knows how to call the right parts of her scenario into question within her script at the right time.

Ms. Hardy does more than deliver a nimble reimagining of "Beauty and the Beast;" she sinks her teeth into the tale and tears out truths about the latent misogyny of fairy-tale narratives. Funny, poignant, and effective, GLASSHEART is one of the rare adaptations that will change the way you engage with the source material. This play is effervescent.

A beautiful play, and a lovely adaptation (and interrogation) of a fairy tale we all know. With witty dialogue and a lot of heart, the playwright's voice in this piece is so very compelling.

Beauty and the Beast has always been my favorite fairy tale, and Reina Hardy's Glassheart is another reason to love it! The witch is by turns creepy and sympathetic; the Beast has facets to his personality I've never thought about; and Only has become one of my favorite heroines!

Glad I got to see this play in NYC! It's a lovely play, a retelling of Beauty and the Beast for modern audiences that resonates even more in today's political atmosphere. I highly recommend it!
