Recommendations of Stargazers

  • Lainie Vansant: Stargazers

Mystery, poetry, romance -- this play has it all! Plus, a plethora of great opportunities for scene and monologue work. Hardy has built a rich world where anything could happen, leaving room for many exciting design and acting opportunities onstage. This is a beautiful piece. Check it out!

  • Gabriel Karr: Stargazers

“Stargazers” is a play that will make audiences think, laugh, cry, and everything in between. A truly eye-opening experience, and written in a way that can exhibit creative freedom for each production to be different than the other and creating numerous different experiences. High recommend!

  • Tucker Mensen: Stargazers

Stargazers is such a funny yet touching story about a nerdy kid who really just wants a date. The one-liners that Rupert has in this show as well as his connections with other characters in the show makes this play worth reading alone. All of the characters in this show so much development and they all such a unique connection and no one's connection is similar to any other. If you're looking for a play that will make you laugh and maybe even cry a little bit than I highly recommend this play for you.

It'll make you laugh, it'll make you cry; "Stargazers" by Reina Hardy is an excellently written concept piece that brings so many creative characters to life. Hardy leaves so much for interpretation making this a fantastic show to put artistic liberty into. Relatable characters with ones that are unexpected, "Stargazers" is a must read.

  • Abbey Messing: Stargazers

This show was written very thoughtfully by Reina Hardy, and there is so much life within it. It gives the creative freedom to a director to create the vision in a unique way each time it is produced. The ending of the show is beautiful and it could be portrayed in a super entrancing way. A good choice when looking for room to make a show your own.

  • Katie Kostner: Stargazers

Reina Hardy draws readers in and hooks them with this incredible play -- "Stargazers" is a genuine masterpiece. The world of this play is so complex and gorgeous, and the characters are far beyond just a simple group of humans. This play is intimate, emotional and wise. Taking the time to read this play isn't at all regrettable -- it's immersive and wonderful from start to finish!

  • Makayla Taylor: Stargazers

I found Stargazers to be a wonderful read! Not only did this play hook me from the comedy bits, but the relationship between these characters truly made me emotional. IT was beautiful to connect the stars to the relationships we have and I found a lot of great value reading this play. I hope to see it produced more because the story is one to share!

  • Isaac Knudsen: Stargazers

Reina Hardys “Stargazers” transformed me while reading. She had complex characters that had self discovery throughout the play and really caught the readers attention. It was a beautiful mix of comedy, astronomy, and romance. This play has the ability for so many different artistic takes and I believe any director would find pleasure in putting this script on its feet.

Reina Hardy has an incredible ability to create characters in an abstract world, and "stargazers" is no exception to this. Which is seen strongly within the character of Claire, who turns from a woman out of reach into a space anomaly within the length of the play. Seeing this unconvential romance happen within the world of budding technology and the birth of stars, really just strengthens the central themes of this show.

Reina Hardy writes in a way that is able to transport the audience to astronomical world of science, sex, love, and physics. Her charming, yet goofy characters are entertaining to follow as they navigate living in a lonely world. I've never been a huge fan of science fiction or romantic plays, but this work is the perfect mix of both worlds!
