An endless expanse!” That’s how I felt reading Robin Rice’s moving play that flows effortlessly between decades, bringing history to life, and connecting with us in a way that I imagine Ms. Austen would have appreciated. Outstanding.

Utterly beautiful writing, the imagery and lyrical quality of the piece allows this story to come alive with radiance. The characters and the history of the piece are so engaging, you can't help but fall in love with it. Wonderful!

Alice in Black and White will strike emotional chords as well as historic interest. Robin does an excellent job of using images as part of the play. Your heart will break again and again.

Another lyrically beautiful work from Robin; her ability to create genuine emotion with just the simplest of phrases and gestures is astonishing.

I saw Looking for Lilith's beautifully rendered production of "Alice in Black and White" in Louisville in 2013. "Flowing" and "seamless" are words that come to mind when I revisit the show in my mind. I fell in love with the characters and their movements through time and the lovely but minimal set. The writing is superb, and the story engaging. Art, history, family, love, loss -- this play has it all.
