Hilarity Ensues! Wonderfully funny farce of a Shakespeare mash-up that is brilliant and easy to produce! What more could a theatre want? Very very smart work linguistically too! And so so so so so much fun!

This is a vibrant and hilarious play with masterful moments of physical comedy embedded into it! The janitor is a gem and deserves an enormous amount of applause. The playwright has written a show that no theatre would regret producing in their festival, truly a pleasure to read, actually watching this must be an insanely joyful ride!

This is the definition of pure delight. It's hilarious on the page, and while I can imagine it wonderfully in person, I am pretty sure I don't even have the slightest inkling of how funny this would be to actually see. The image of the janitor holding a plunger as a scepter is one that will live with audiences forever. Absolutely hilarious, one of the funniest short farces I've ever read.

I saw this show when it was produced and it was a high-energy show that keeps the audience in stitches. This play was a highlight for me in the festival, and it would be a highlight for anyone who gets an opportunity to see it performed.

  • Scott Haan: The Show Must NOT Go On!

I had the distinct pleasure of seeing the world premiere of this play, and it tickled me to no end. The character of the Janitor offers a performer the chance for a crowd-pleasing tour-de-force. This play will appeal to fans of comedy, theatre, and Shakespeare--and if you happen to love all three, you're in for a treat!

"The Show Must NOT Go On!" is hilarious! I was all in for the situation, the solution, and the surprise turn that solution took. The pacing is also fantastic, as are all the other characters, but for me the Janitor steals the show. Would love to see it produced, it's a ton of fun.

The Show Must NOT Go On! is a zany off-the-wall comedy that would provide a jolt of energy to any 10 minute play festival lineup. Clever and crazy and absolutely nuts in the best way. Would love to see this on stage.

THIS is the Shakespeare play I have always wanted to see. Chaotic, side-splittingly funny, and such an affectionate homage to The Bard. Extremely recommended!

HAHAHAHA! Definitely a winner for actors and the audience. A physical, lyrical zany comedy that gets better page after page. What makes the janitor such a winning character makes this play original, even if it borrows heavily from Shakespeare plays. Try to stop yourself from laughing after the reading. Directors, actors PRODUCE THIS PLAY or I will came after you with a toilet plunger!

I saw "The Show Must NOT Go On!" during the Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette 10-minute play festival. The audience was literally howling with laughter at this farce. Swordplay, a battle of the sexes, Shakespearean mashups and more made this an audience favorite.
