What's amazing about this play is that it's not just about delving into thespian text; it's about delving into what makes us vulnerable and human. Minigan has a gift for creating character-driven stories. These characters are so beautifully and naturally drawn and the emotions are so raw at times that it had me riveted! If you're a fan of the bard, or were ever a "theatre kid" then this play is perfect for you!

This is a theatre-lovers play that offers actors so much to enjoy and explore especially the process of acting itself! Great roles! Great drama! Great simplicity in the needs of the production! Minigan is spot on with his depiction of faculty drama, and he is superb at giving us hints into the inner emotional turmoils of his characters. The twists and turns come from character so it never feels plotted. This play can and should be done anywhere for the love of the Bard and the boards!

I had the pleasure of reading this script during it's workshop at the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and reread it again just recently. It is a uniquely structured brain-tease, an intriguing character study between pupil and teacher, and above all, a love letter to Shakespeare. It manages to feel intimate in production, yet epic in it's ability to portray the enormity of the relationship between the 2 characters. Bravo!

Wonderful character dynamics and reversals. The changing of the relationships over time and as new information is revealed creates excellent conflicts and connections between the characters.

This play will also make you walk out thinking that you're a Shakespeare scholar, regardless of your level of knowledge walking in.
